Qualification & Scoring

Before investing time in a full proposal, MyBids.AI evaluates whether an RFP is a good fit for your company. The qualification system analyzes requirements against your capabilities and provides a data-driven go/no-go recommendation.

How Qualification Works

After the intake agent parses the RFP, the system scores your fit across multiple dimensions. This analysis happens automatically before the full proposal generation pipeline begins.

The score considers:

  • Capability match percentage
  • Certification coverage
  • Geographic fit
  • Capacity availability
  • Past performance relevance
  • Contract size fit

Scoring Categories

Based on the overall score, RFPs are classified into three categories:

Qualified

Score above threshold. Strong fit, all mandatory requirements met, recommended to proceed.

Conditional

Moderate fit, some gaps identified. Can proceed but should address gaps.

Disqualified

Below threshold. Critical requirements missing, recommend no-go.

What Gets Scored

The qualification system evaluates multiple dimensions of fit between your company and the RFP:

Capability alignment: How well your rated expertise matches the RFP requirements
Certification match: Whether required certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP) are in your profile
Geographic coverage: Whether you serve the required regions
Capacity: Current workload vs. contract demands based on service line capacity percentage
Past performance: Relevance of completed projects to the RFP scope
Contract parameters: Whether contract value fits within your minimum/maximum thresholds

Acting on Results

How to respond to each qualification outcome:

If Qualified

Proceed to generation. Review that your company profile is current and complete to ensure the best possible proposal content.

If Conditional

Review the identified gaps carefully. Consider whether they are addressable before the deadline. You may still generate a proposal, but plan to address the gaps in your response or team-building strategy.

If Disqualified

Consider whether a no-go decision is appropriate. A disqualification may also indicate a need to update your profile with missing certifications, capabilities, or past performance examples.

Tip: Qualification results improve as you complete your company profile. If you're seeing unexpected results, check that your capabilities, certifications, and past performance are up to date.
